Over 1 billion people in the world speak Mandarin (Putonghua), an official language in the People’s Republic of China. Knowing the language not only makes your life in China easier, but more importantly, it will help you tremendously if you wish to participate in the business activities in the country.
Knowledge of Chinese can be extremely useful. For instance, during a business negotiation, if you speak the local language, it can greatly facilitate the process of closing a deal. Your language skills might also enable you to gain some favorable terms, or create a stronger business relationship with those you are negotiating with. In the Business in Modern China Summer Program, apart from the daily business courses and internship, we can also arrange an optional Mandarin course taught by native experienced teachers individually or in small groups, according to your levels.
Details about the Mandarin course will be posted on your Personal Panel after you are admitted to the program.
